Hi Everybody,
Well since my last blog I have not done to well. I had my treatment on the 6 th of October. It was OK the first 3 days because he gave me some new drugs to help the nausea. All I did was sleep the first 3 days. It was not to bad. Then Thursday I started to not feel s well but that is normal. By Sat I was fevering and not doing so well. Karli was helping me on Sat. and she finally said lets call the Dr. I think she was a little scared.
I called the Dr and he said to go to the emergency room and told me what tests he wanted ran. So Karli drove me in and I had no white count in my blood. Infections had set in again and I was anemic. They put me right in the hospital was there for 5 days. I was in the reverse therapy room (I think that is what they called it.) You had to wash up and wear masks and gloves to even come see me. I started to feel better but my white count would not come up very fast. The were giving me shots in my belly of Nupigine to help it and gave me 2 blood transfusions for the anemia. Finally on Thursday night he said there were probably more germ in the hospital than at home so he let me come home if I promised to stay in my bedroom and everybody had to wear the masks and gloves still.
By Monday I was still so sick that he would not give me my treatment. Now I am really getting behind. I have had to go in every 2 days for fluids and they do make me feel better. My neighbor Joey also comes and gives me shots 3 times a day. Mike is at work at the times I need my shots so I am glad that Joey can help me out.
When I went in on Wed we changed some of my drugs for the dizziness and nausea and I was excited because I was already started to feeling better.. It was time to go and when I stood up I threw up again in front of the Dr and nurse. He looked at me and said these meds wont help that so he gave me some different ones.
Halaluya. they have have been awesome and I have not thrown up since Wed at the office. I have felt so much better. Now I just have to stay strong so that I can have my treatment on Monday. He is lowering the dose of chemo to see if that will help. I have had diarea so bad that is also been the problem. If the big shot he gave me Friday right in the butt does not do anything then he wont treat me on Monday. That shot really hurt. I think my but has been through enough but they don't think so because most of my shots are in the butt or on my hips. Try sleeping with all those shots.
I am just so excited to have had some good days. I really helps me keep my spirits up if I can have some good days. My Dr is awesome. He calls me all the time to check up on me and also gave me his cell number. Most wont do that.
I am just thankful for Mike and the kids. thay help me so.......much. I also have good friends and neighbors and Kris close. I also love the fall. It really helps to sit outside for a min and get some fresh air.
Well hopefully all will go well on Monday. I am saying it will so i can get the chemo behind me.
